i'd say if you're only going into 7th grade, eyeliner is too much for school, but a little blush, some eyeshadow and a light colored lipstick or lip gloss would be okay.
there are also tips here:

7th grade- that's a big step. I know how you feel. Before I started the middle school, I hardly ever wore any makeup- then right before 7th grade hit, I began experimenting with it a little more. Makeup is supposed to bring out your natural beauty-not try to cover it up. Don't go over board with the eyeliner, because it will only make your eyes appear smaller. Eyeshadow is the key, because there are so many colors to choose from without becoming too drastic. Also, use concealer to hide minor flaws instead of a full face of foundation- which can break your face out at this stage in your life. Also, add some gloss to your lips....it always adds to the prettiness!! Good luck in 7th grade- I'm sure everything will turn out just fine!

If the little bit of eyeshadow and eyeliner that you wear on the weekends makes you self confident enough to face 7th grade, then that is all you should wear. At any age, it is best to keep a natural look to your makeup. I am 30, and most of the time I just wear a light foundation to even out my skin tone, and lip gloss or a neutral shade of lipstick.
I would recommend for you a light shade of eyeshadow, a bit of eyeliner, and some pink lip gloss, IF it makes you feel a little more self confident.

aww. Well since your only going into the 7th grade you dont need much at all. just a little bit of eye liner and a light pink shadow with light pink lip gloss.
You can gain some confidience with a cute new hair cut, or maybe some high lights.

Rule of thumb is the more makeup you apply the more older you look (not necessarily looks better and I won't even recommend that for your age). Do something that will bring out the best of your eyes. Also a little goes a long way. To tell what is too much, try looking into the mirror and if you see a glamor girl as if like a movie star walking down the red carpet, you are probably over doing it.

You could start with a little liner, a light coat of mascara and a touch of bronzer or blush. A soft colour gloss for your lips. If you have spots, use a concealer just where you need to cover. If your skin is otherwise good, don't even bother with foundation. You don't need it. If you get oily, a dash of powder will help, but don't keep caking it on all day. You will just end up with a cakey, pore-clogging mess on your face.
Use a gentle, pore cleansing cleanser night and morning and never, but never go to bed with makeup on!
Good luck in the 7th grade.

well im in the 10th grade and i started wearing make up in the 7th grade also but i regret it. wear makeup only if u really need it because from experience guys like girls that dont wear alot of makeup and believe me it saves so much time. im hooked on wearing makeup and i have to get up and 6 in the morning to look half way decent in my mind and i loose a lot of sleep which is not good especially at our age. so u can wear eyeliner if u want it ur choice. too much is when ur face looks like an extremely dry cake

I know how you feel ... I felt the exact same way when I was entering the 7th Grade ... but Jr. High is very fun!
Make-Up Advice : I have to say that less is more ... make sure you try to make it look natural ... try to make it seem like you arent wearing any makeup. For you just some eyeshadow, and mascara should be enough. (Maybe some powder)

I'm going into 8th grade and a lot of make up isnt good. Just try a little bit of eyeliner and mascara and you're good to go for the day. That's what I did. I know everyone says this but be yourself. If you don't, you won't have real friends because they only like you for the non-you. Being yourself will get you farther.

dont sweat it honey! I went through that a few years ago and trust me you'll get the hang of it. Just start out with a clear mascara, maybe a tad of coverup, and some blush. It will look all natural. You might want to wait a few years for eyeliner...its a little dramatic. But...my best tip is..go natural. You are more beautiful that way.
Have a great year! =)
