Every guy I meet wants something from me...why can't guys just develope friendships with females, no strings attached?

There are "strings" attached to everything. All contact is a trade of values and considerations. You say all guys want something. Of course they do. You want something too. Apparently you've not met the guy that wants the same things you do. That doesn't mean you or the guys you've met are wrong. It simply means you do not share the same desires or goals. You can't force people into a mold. You can accept them as they are or move on. Which, depends on how you feel about them and your interaction.
So recognize that, you too, want something. You need to find the guy that wants the same things.

guys are shallow cause girls like them that way. If women want deep men, they would start dating profound men and all men would become profound just so they can have a female for whatever.
women control men, so stop that whining.
Believe me, I am a guy, and I talk with guys. All they want is to be the man for the ladies. If women want deep guys, guys will become deep.

My theory is (and I could be wrong) is that men get away with way too much because a majority of the literature about men and their behavior(s) are either written by men pretending to be honest and up-front or by women who have been brainwashed by generations of literature, media, organized religion, etc......the message?.....men are men and they can't help it.
Let's all acknowledge the potentials in men to practice self-control and self-respect. We could all be the better for it.

It's not that we're so shallow. As a mater of fact in sopme ways we're even deeper.
Men and women think differently. Whereas women tend to be modest with their bodies men tend tpo be modest with their emotions. It at times takes getting to know a man realy well for us to really open up to someone, at least it does for me. However, once we do, if you tell a living soul what we tell you we tend never to trust you to open up to ever again. At least it's that way with me.
Also, whereas women filter things through their emotions we tend to filter things through honor. For the most part honor is even more important to most of us than sexual issues and that's saying alot. This also means how you say something is at times much more important than what you say. If we don't feel honored and respected by what you say/ how you say it then we will sub-conciously shut what you say out.
When I learned this dynamic my relationship with Trish, my fiancee, got so much better and easier. It also got easier for me to explain things to her and vice-versa.

young men tend to do that because as you know men like to compete to see who is gonna get the hottest girl. Ego I guess but at the same time, could it also be the message you are sending them? If you dress trashy and leave nothing to the imagination, they might view you as slutty or as you put it "want something from you".

i can answer this. one... evolution will favor larger breasts (more body fat will allow for the female to get through times of less food). also favored is skinniness (not too much (i am a guy and trust me their is too much)) for the reason that if too much excess fat is present problems such as cardiovascular or coronary problems can occur. as for the rest, certain traits account for certain dominances which effect survival. oh yeah, one other thing guys are generally pig headed (yes i am admitting this) and we do tend to do this a little too much.

From an evolutionary stand point, its more advantageous for guys to be unattached so they can spread their sperm in the most amount of females as possible to propagate the species.

Wer're not all shallow. But some are. I think it has to do with up briinging, shyness and fear. Plus most of us guys, want to be careful, even though some don't.

Because it's the primal urge to have a mate and the best, when you put these two together, you have a shallow male.
