i hav to get glasess cuz my doctor said i was nearcited..it was 28/20 or 20/28 but idk i forgot

If the ratio is actually 20/28 then that isn't too bad. What it means is that you can see things at 20' that a person with normal eyes can see at 28'. Not too bad. In fact I bet you could pass the driving eye exam without needing glasses or contacts. You can get contact lens because they won't need to be too thick. If your vision drops below say 20/60, then I would start to worry. As we get older our vision deteriorates. It's just a natural part of growing old. Some day you might need to worry about needing glasses all the time, but that's probably over a decade away.
I have had to wear glasses since I was 12, I'm nearsighted too. I am middle aged now and need bifocals, but my glasses are pretty thin and lightweight. I can't wear contacts now, but that's because I need bifocals. If I were you I wouldn't worry about it. Get contacts, graduate college, get a good job and in 10 years of so you can get laser correction surgery. It is fast painless, and the price is dropping all the time. If you get a job with good benefits then your insurance may help pay for it.

Yes, 28/20 vision is so bad you had to even put glasses on your avatar.

no it's pretty good! My eyes are like 100/20, and I'm getting glasses. a positive vision number is better then a negative vision number. And if your eyes are 28/20 then they're positive and that's good.

no its better than average 20/20 is perfect then everything above 20 like 30/20 40/20 is better and if the number on the right is bigger its worse vision

Not bad at all. 20/20 is perfect, so you're not that far off. Some people are A LOT worse off than you are.

hmm, odd question. But you really can't make your vision worse with glasses unless you wear them for a very long period of time, for your eyes will get used to the magnification. Most of the other things like reading in a poorly lit environment are old wives tails.
