I dislike the disruption they cause all other patrons.

Unless it's a kiddy-friendly fast-food outlet, let the management know that you're going to leave immediately unless they ask the family to behave like normal people. If nothing is done, walk out.

I think children that are disruptive in ANY public place you be immediately removed from the situation and disciplined according to how much trouble they caused; let the appropriate discipline fit the "degree" of the disturbance! I've noticed that many parents are now bringing "kids" to adult movies; This also annoys me; I usually don't complain unless it really gets out of hand! I will turn around and give "the stare", though; this usually does the trick; haven't been challenged by the parent(s) yet!

i think there are two ways to handle this type of situation... if u look at it from the childrens parents point of view they are just doing their best to have a good time... and maybe they cant afford a babysitter... u never know what their situation can be... but if the kids get too out of control... i personally start to stop feeling bad and ask the waiter to move me...but if that is not possible then i ask the waiter to make a kind comment to those childrens parents about their kids...
God Bless

Unless it is a 5star type restaurant, there isn't much management can do. But believe me they wish they could. Usually the best thing to do is ask your server to move you to another table. Maybe then at least the parents will get the hint and have mercy on the rest of the guests around them.

I think it is inconsiderate. However, if you do have that problem ask a manager to talk to them. Be patient and understanding, you don't know their background. Some kids are just brats, but others act up if they are stressed, scared or tired etc. So getting mad and saying something to their parents only makes matters worse. It is best to let a management official handle that situation.

First of all, anyone who is a parent or has younger sibblings can understand from this perspective. At one point, we ALL created tantrums and public scences. Try to go with the flow. I can understand how the parents feel (stressed, tired, mad). If they are babies or toddlers, it is understandable. If they are older kids, it is not acceptable. I do not tattle on little children (babies or toddlers), but I would strongly think about telling management before doing so. Ask yourself- how bad is it? Always think before you do something.

I cant stand loud, out of control kids! On a plane, in a theater, in a restaurant anywhere! Parents today let their kids run and scream, man my dad would've popped my azz if I did that. Keep your rugrats at home!!!

Kids will be kids & I generally wouldn't complain unless the children were running all over the place, getting in peoples way.If that occured then yes I would complain.

First of all I think parents need to keep track of their kids, or leave them home. I ask the waiter if they can do anything about the situation.

If parents won't or can't control their kids in any public place, they should keep them home. No, I don't complain...I understand how it is with kids...if I don't want to listen to it, I simply leave.
