Brasil had an absolutely brilliant team this year. Many were saying it was even better than the legendary 1970 team. But their performance was so poor. With so many footballing superstars on their team what do you think went wrong for them. Do you think it was the managing of the team (Carlos Alberto Perierra & co), or the fact that they peaked too early during their qualification or anything else. Thanks in advance

The fact that they were PAID not to perform is unbelievable!!!

This is not theory..my wife is Brazilian and it was on the news...
Brasil was PAID to sell out...
Roberto Carlos was the first of 4 that will eventually retire due to "personal" reasons...
Zagallo and Parreira will be FIRED and Zagallo will be banned from the pitch for having particiapted in a similar bribe in 1998...
RONALDINHO has been mum on the subject and will continue to do so...His role on the team as a mid fielder was that he was to NEVER SCORE..HE PLAYED FORWARD FOR BARCELONA and helped put Barcelona into the Final against Arsenal...BY SCORING...so when he was forced to take on a different role..this is equivalent to putting a 2nd baseman as a catcher or making a QB out of a kicker...THERE IS NO WAY to get decent stats...and even then..he adapted to his role rather NICE...but he was paid to never score and HE DIDN'T...he pulled what is called in SPades as "shooting the moon" and maintained his role as a passer, not a scorer.
I thought in the beginning that it was due to egos of 23 stars...but I was also naive and unknowing before it was on the news...
how this will all relate to tomorrow's game??? Italy WILL lose because ZIZOU is going to retire...BRASIL had to lose as did England. England was either unaware or unwilling to take the dive...so Portugal did away with them, because Portugal would not be able to beat France. Germany had to lose to Italy because they WOULD win and ZIZOU would walk away empty handed...THAT WON'T HAPPEN...Italy however as KINGS of scandal...will rise into the FINALS and nobody will think differently because one scandal deserves another. It is a REPLAY of 1998 and only the teams change...Italy however has not allowed a goal yet so NOBODY (especially Americans) will get suspicious and if France wins..oh well great game..see you in 4 years! BUT ZIZOU walks into the sunset with his 2nd cup and star...
My question to you is this..could you wear your national jersey -knowing that you needed scandals to win both of your stars????

Ronaldo was out of shape, and the team just wasn't a team. They were poorly prepared, having only played on warm-up match prior to flying into Germany. They took on New Zealand, and they felt they were ready to be champs again. This was just tragedy in the making. We all waited to see this unstoppable force enter the tournament and wipe out the competition. We only saw glimpses of brilliance, but the team just wasn't there.

It imagine specially through a lack of team spirit. All gamers are very reliable in my opinion even though it does not make a competent team. Parreira has a responsability because they not in any respect had a tactic artwork out. Parreira places Juninho adversarial to France, to stay away from midfield to be ruled, yet not in any respect trains his team with this configuration. i don't believe of that is through the actual structure. Brazilian, English, Italian, French or Spanish gamers are interior of a similar ecu communities. as an celebration, Emerson (Brazil), Cannavaro, Del Piero, Zambrotta (Italia), Thuram, Viera, Trezeguet (France) play with Juventus. finally, i do not opt to blame particular gamers yet Cafu and Roberto Carlos were possibly somewhat previous for the brazilian-kind play. Cicinho ought to were an awesome replace for Cafu, who has suffered adversarial to Malouda.

Too many star individuals, but no team chemistry. Plain and simple. Look at Real Madrid as case in point.

i think the french defended well, may be by studying brazilians attacking skills........and taking off andriano from starting line-up made a huge difference to the well settled team until that game...and the attack never started .....and their defence was always vulnerable though they contained french most of the time......
brazil vs spain, dutch, czech(with no injuries) wud have shown the point .....though if brazil wins the match with more goals

for one there was to much individual play. and just to say i think it is wrong for people to criticize Ronaldo's weight. Another thing, they are all getting old..they need younger players.
