Totally agree with you, I have said right from the start that what happen with Wayne was a accident but what ronaldo did was deliberate, also about booing is carlos b saying that last night that stadium had more English fans than German fans as I find that hard to believe, why can`t he just admit people have seen just what some of the players from portugal are like and they do`nt like it

I agree with you that its not just the English that felt Portugal needs to work on buffing up the discipline level on their team. They do have some really good players but sadly because of their behavior that sometimes gets overlooked. Today Ronaldo showed some of his fancy footsteps that any soccer fan can't help but appreciate but then he sits on his butt after everyone else has taken off for the other end of the field pitching a fit because the ref didn't call a foul. Maybe he did get fouled but the point was that the ref obviously wasn't going to call it so Ronaldo should have jumped to his feet and gotten back into the game. I just hate it when he does that; its so childish that I was almost wishing someone would have tossed him a pacifier. However, I do disagree with you that what Rooney did was an accident.

Well, as I've learned from experience that our "English Angel" is no angel, I have to wonder why these topics keep getting posted? It's over and done with! I have seen ohter countries fans say Portugal didn't behave well during the World Cup but none- not one other country as much as the English! And not all of them just a handfull. At least I can say that I try to be nice unlike some others and I don't go around calling people " ugly cows" for defending their country!
Rooney got what he deserved and people need to stop listening to gossip and then making everyone believe it's a fact! Portugal was the least favorite from the beginning and everyone they beat is just upset to have been beaten by the underdog!

Well, its true that the engligh were behind maybe the momentum, but it seems that an awful lot of fans from different countries were more than happy to help out.
I saw a replay about 20 times available online, and no way did rooney intend to do it, he shifted his body round and put 2 feet down at the same time, pity that was were a crotch happened to be.
The problem is, if ronaldo did not come running, and tried to convince the ref it was a bad foul roooney would not have pushed him, and would not have seen any card. The replay contradicts what the ref said, he was not going for a card UNTILL rooney pushed ronaldo, but covered himself afeter the game upon realizing he went too far.
My wife is from the far east, and she couldnt wat for portugal to go out after the holland match, no red card for figo blah. Too much diving there needs to be a "Good Sportsmanship board" to watch matches and fine the FA of each country for sending actors not sportsman.
Didnt mean to rant :)

Yep...you're definitely English. For your information, many of the fans in the stadium in the France vs. Portugal game were ENGLISH. The booing came from the English fans. Does that suprise me? Not one bit.
Rooney got what he deserved..red carded.
Ronaldo, in an interview, suggested that the award for the best player should probably go to Rooney. Obviously Ronaldo isn't bitter and Rooney probably isn't either. It's just you guys that are so sour it could make milk curdle.

sweetie your such a child, look who your calling a child, yea i'm 16 but i act more mature then you do, and ur 27. You need to quit bringing up the English and Portugal subject, anything your ganna say is not ganna change the past, so how bout you do everyone a favor and keep your mouth shut and quit acting like a "child" you old *****. Wow the portugal fans are behaving bad, look at you English skums you take this whole thing so serious, get a damn grip. Its freaking football. So what Ronaldo spoke for his teamates to protect them, Whether Rooney liked it or not he would have goten a damn red card, so Ronaldo talking to the Ref didnt change shiet. And ***** i dont want to use freaking spell check, thats my option that i dont want to, i'm fine the way i type, not everyones perfect so how bout you shove all that shiet you talk about up your arss. love you. *mauuh* :p

The only thing I remember about Portugal vs England was the English fans booing the Portuguese captain while he read a no racism message. I was so outraged by the blatant disrespect of the English that I was cheering for them to lose just so they could get what they deserved.
Honestly, how can someone have the nerve to boo the opposing team for reading a no racism message?

I agree but you know what i think it was an accident and Ronaldo got taken down or as you call it "diving" because no one can get the ball i have watched all games carefully and he isn't diving and anyway he is only 21 years old a Young player he dosn't know what he is doing and neither does Wayne Rooney but i sort of agree with you.

Its called gloating, its the only way they know how to cover up the cheating!! Rubbing salt in the wound! Their cheating has back-fired on them though. Other teams have realised, if Ronaldo got away with what he did to England, what was to stop him doing it again??? If they played Portugal, they may suffer the same fate, which is why most other countries fans booed and hissed Ronaldo. CHEATS NEVER PROSPER!!!
