Evolution began as an untested idea (a hypothesis) then over time it was tested again and again and became a theory as oppsed to just a hypothesis. The sciences have all consistently confirmed the theory. Genetics, biology, geology, paleontolgy, and and every other field of scientific inquiry have all confirmed what Darwin hypothesized. Evolution is a fact. Sure there are incomplete areas in the theory but they are quickly being filled as we aquire more and more knowledge. It's defintely the best theory we have. It's better than the "talking snake theory!"

good question Josh,
I think you're right that there is a lot of evidence supporting evolution. However, what do you mean when you say evolution? Do you mean natural selection? My point is that there are 2 main aspects of evolution: Macro and Micro Evolution.
Macro evolution says that species evolved from other species. I have studied this theory and have found it to a be little short on archeological facts. In fact, Darwin himself questioned this aspect of his theory in his own writings. Check out his Origin of Species that started this whole debate.
However, Micro evolution is simply natural selection. I think that this theory makes a lot of sense of the world and quite frankly, i think is very difficult to disprove. For example, our wisdom teeth are an example of how natural selection has taken place in us, as they no longer serve us any purpose and are actually a hindrance.
Therefore, it is possible to agree with certain aspects of evolution and not agree with others.
Hope this helps and sparks your interest for further study Josh

What are you talking about? first of all what is the "scientific" proof that you are talking about? I can't argue against this so called "proof" when you don't even tell us what it is.
I personally believe in evolution because it is not unrealistic or contradictory like other theories that try to explain why humans exist.
People who disagree with evolution probably have a poor understanding of what the claims of darwinism are. Are you sure that you know what the claims of darwinism are?

That whole fossil-record thing is a pretty good indicator of what happened.
Belief doesn't factor in when you're holding a bone from an animal that lived 25 million years ago.

Simple: I just find it hard to believe that somebody flipped a switch 10,000 years ago and a light came on being earth, equipped with all the wonderful things we have now. Except somebody just had to eat that apple, making some of us mean and terrible!

when people have children, they are evolved from the parents, dogs have many forms due to breeding (evolved). open your eyes and see what there is to see/ or what you want to see.
