My Argentinean students have various opinions about English people, largely based on what they've seen on TV, plus their opinions of the Falklands war.
I'd like to be able to tell them what people in the rest of the world think about THEM, but I don't really know! Do you even HAVE an opinion?

Many opinions are formed based on what people hear from others, or see on TV, rather than what they personally experience. I can say that I haven't heard anything bad about Argentina, or Argentinians, so my belief is that Argentinians are basically good people.

As an Argentine, I could tell you that the most common stereotype for us is that were are cocky and conniving. It is based on truths, but like every other generality, you can't hold it up to everyone from the nation.
People usually like us for our food and the way we speak Spanish, which if you don't know how to speak, it'll be harder to pick up the difference.

It's sad when our main stereotypes come from the world of football!
Mainly it's the cockiness and the arrogance im afraid...however you cant pigeon whole a nation on 11 men!

they are conceited, cocky and think they have god grabbed by his balls...they dont know the meaning of humble and swear to god they are better than the rest of the world. and yes, i have met a lot of them
