A collaborator to work with will help. Have a friend at a different location put a sign or some other unique item (unknown to you) in an agreed upon spot. Try to identify it. It takes practice

Having one. Other than that, talking directly to someone who has had one. I know a girl who is a born again Christian, but has had many of them and she can't talk about it with anyone because she believes it is some kind of witchcraft or Satans work or something. I keep trying to convince her that its perfectly normal but, what can you do... Anyway, yeah having one is the best proof.
