have any of you been ,or are on this injection,and if so have you put on weight?

i have just come off of it. it was horrible i spotting and still got periods on it. i lost weight. but i didn't like the bleeding at all. also i got pregnant on it and because of the hormones in it i miscarried. each person is different on the depo but i will honestly tell you i would much rather go with having a period once a month then for 3 months straight.

I had this injection for about 5 years. I found that I put on about 7 pounds in weight, my moods changed too - I became really depressed and didn't realise it was the injection until I came off it... Everyone is different though, the advantages are that you don't have to remember to take a pill, and not having periods was excellent

I didn't put on weight but I bled foe 5 months so I got off it and am still bleeding 2 months later add that up a total of 7 months but I had a baby before the shot so add another month on tha 8 YUCK. I really hate my period, went to Dr she told me it is normal. Whatever doesn't seem right

i am on the depo injection and have been for 6 and a half years never had any probs with weight since being on it

I was on it for 12 months, i lost wieght, i bled constantly for 50 weeks, i was aneamic, so i came off it. The doctor told me i was one of statistics who bled with it, whereas some women can have it, and don't bleed at all. I wouldn't reccomend it to anyone, but maybe it suits one person more than the other.

i become on the shot for in simple terms about 2 years and had each and every facet outcome there become. I went on reason my classes were so undesirable and that i might want to not cope with them. i become moody, Bitchy, NO sex force me and my BF went from having sex two times per week to once each and every 6 months, i received over 100 pounds. my dermis become terrible on it. even as i ultimately were given off it my era has bot been an same and that i have been off for 4 years not. i'm attempting to get pregnant and characteristic been having the hardest time. I be apologetic about occurring it and that i'm satisfied to be off it. when I went off it i went on the pill and that appeared to help me, tell your DR you not satisfied on the shot and also you want to attempt something else.

Yes. Weight gain is a well-known side effect of this medication.

I've known several girls who have used this birth control and hated it.....especially because of the weight gain.

This shot should be banned. I was on it ten years ago. When my family doctor, found out I was on it, he went bolistic. He told me to get off of it immediately. Just get on the pill.
