Yes, I beleive that we are energy that just happens to be associated with a body. If you've been to an open casket funeral, it's obvious that the body is not the person at all, so the energy must be somewhere else.

Well, matter and energy are a lot more closely related than one may imagine.....
Just as light energy from any given source has wave properties, so does all the matter you are comprised of (a huge swarm of electrons).
Even bits of matter as large as iodine molecules will demonstrate the property of interference.

e=mc2 is you proof. it means that any matter is energy. in other words it means that atoms are giant packets of photons(pure energy). so humans containing... well, a lot of atoms are very good energy source. to put it in perspective a single hydrogen atom could power New York city for a couple hundred years.
