Why hasn`t my callistemon flowered this year?

It`s in a pot of ericaceous compost and it has been fed with potash

Are you sure it needs the ericaceous compost? There are different varieties but they mostly seem quite hardy and unfussy.
Maybe it doesnt like having its roots constricted in a pot?

did you put it into new soil.brown bag in a cool spot for about 7 weeks.i did all that and mine is outside in a planter growing tike a weed.but dident flower last winter.
