Actually, they are just there for those times when you might be "spotting," dealing with "discharge," or your monthly visit from "Aunt Scarlet" is tapering off. Sometimes, they're nice to have on hand if you're using tampons and don't know if you'll be able to get to the bathroom when you need to so you don't ruin your "unmentionables" with blood stains...
