At 20 you sholdn't be looking for someone to take of you anymore than you should be looking for someone to take care of. At 20, you likely just left the 'nest' yourself. The next 5-10 years of your lfe is what defines you. Take risks, expand your interests and I assure you that you will find someone who will share your new found interests.
The failure rates of relationships under 25 is staggering. Why? Maturity. She's interested in finding someone that isn't being compared to the girl you really liked in HS or even you own mother.

Well, I don't know if internet dating works but I heard it does, If you haven't looked into it maybe you should give it a shot, what do you got to lose? You don't have to necessarily "go out" to meet anybody, anywhere is possible. My best friend met her husband at a gas station and they've been married for 6yrs now and have 3 beautiful kids. At 20 years of age you are way too young to have a serious girlfriend. If you are not already in college, enroll and make college your primary interest. Meeting girls and making friends will evolve while you are there.

If you want a girlfriend who is a Christian then go to a church. If you want a sporty girlfriend go to a school activity (softball , basketball, track,soccer,etc.)
