Look around you. Explore your world. Look inside yourself. Examine your emotions. Song subjects are everywhere. I'll give you an example, written on the spot for your pleasure... or your pain, we'll see!
I'm going to pick something in my living room and write a quick front part of a song about it. (BTW: If I hear this on the radio and I don't get paid I'm gonna be pissed! :> )

Whoa whoa that cold cold metal
Red and white and silver delight
Cylinder holding that sweet nectar
Chug it down everything's alright

Feel the fizzy sparkling bubbles
Sparking life into my thirsty tongue
Makes me feel like backwards dancing
Although it rots my teeth and gums

(Chorus)
My sweet brown Coca-Cola
It's always good to hold ya
You know just how to please me
With a taste that's cold and fizzy

.... Hey, I never said they would all be good songs, lmao...

Do you mean genre? You can look it up... most of it is common sense... you should be able to tell what is rap vs. rock.
