Angelfish are cichlids. They will not be lunch for your Betta.
A better question is "do angelfish go with my tank?"
Angels get big and they are delicate. If you don't know their compatibilties then you probably don't know much of anything else about them. Do research on the fish.

Hy there! My real name is Danilov and I'm a vet specialized on exotic and tropical fish. I have over 150 species in my private aquarium(s). I think I can help you with your question.
:)) LOL. This is a good question and all the others are wrong, don't get me wrong, I'm not perky, just that I have plenty of experience when it comes to taking care of fish, and a lot more. The Angel will go for a kill. This fact is known. They like only their own kind. The Betta on the other hand is stubborn as well, so there will be a hell of a fight. I said that the Angel will kill a Betta only if it's mature, as they are bigger than a Betta when mature. If the Angel is the same size as the Betta or smaller, the Betta will kill it. WHAT WORRIES ME IS THAT YOU ARE NOT WELL INFORMED!
Betta's can life in fresh water, but the Angel will die in fresh water. The Angel fish is a salty water fish. Get your water wright or you won't have to worry about the Betta picking on the Angel.

Yes, Bettas can go with Angel fish. Bettas do just fine with just about any fish, except those who have long fins and are about the same size as the betta. Even then, most of the time, they will get along just fine.
I have a betta in with 6 angel fish. They all get along just fine, other than when a pair of angels is guarding their eggs.

Angel fish go very well with Bettas but don't overcook the
fish. My Grandmother used to prepare the Bettas many days
in advance before cooking the fish. She would stuff the Angel fish
with raisins and currants plus 1/2 a lemon before baking.
I have never had better Bettas in my life.

NO! Angelfish have different PH requirements. Also a betta could easely confuse an angel as another betta and attack it. Angels also require heat and filtration where as a betta does not.
