It sure would be good to see a woman's face the way it really looks instead of finding out the hard way when they are washing it off in the morning. Why do women hide behind makeup?

If men put some kind of mask on before you met them or went out with us...wouldn't you think that was strange?

Oh so much cheaper. We'd get used to it, of course.

I'm a woman who has never worn makeup. It is so bad for your skin and your eyes. Once a person starts wearing makeup it ruins their natural complexion, eyelashes, etc and they look washed out when they remove it.

It's such a part of life, that most people don't even think about it, they just think that's the way it is supposed to be. But it really doesn't have to, I would be all for a no makeup world. It amazes me that a female will get up hours before they have to be anywhere just to spend all that time doing their hair and makeup. What an incredible waste of time.

lol! If makeup were eliminated, I and many women would never leave our houses. Makeup makes us feel confident and beautiful. It helps us present our best face to the world.

And besides, if men weren't so danged critical, expecting and demanding perfection where it will NEVER exist, women wouldn't NEED makeup!! Real women do not look like an airbrushed, glossy magazine photo. The next time you compare a girl with your favourite model or actress, remember that SHE doesn't even look like that in real life!!

Life would mostly be the same. After the initial shock men would shrug and go and bang whatever was offered to them. Women make much more of a fuss about it then men would. In the 1900's and even earlier, it was considered sexy to be chubby for women and men went along with it. In the 1960's and 1970's that started to change and men went along with it. If in 2030 women with 3 eyebrows start to be the "norm" then men will shrug and off to the women with three eyebrows they will go.
It's interesting that the people who set the fashion for women are women themselves and gay men. So blaming men for women's need to be this or that, or their self-image problems is a tad silly. Men will do whatever is offered to them. Not the most noble or sexy fact, but a fact nonetheless.

You got me. And actually, make up was origionally intended for men. Think of the Egyptians. We had a long discussion about this in my global studies class a while ago. It's pretty much the whole "barbie-figure" pressure the media puts on women. My girlfriend's told me that it just makes her feel more pretty, but I'll never understand why she thinks she isn't already absolutely beautiful without it. Girls are silly.

Women would be a-lot less confident and be looking in mirrors so much more than they do now. And it's not even makeup for women, think of actors and actresses on stage without makeup or beautiful actresses without makeup for the camera....scary

I think that woman would have a lot more money and that there skin would actually be healthier.... what some women don't realize is that when they have zits they try to cover it up with foundation and concealer and a lot of heavy pore clogging makeup which just ends up makeing their skin worse

A much more beautiful world. What did we do before makeup? Other more equalizing qualities were worked on and honed. Writing, reading, sports, every event that women do now, we did better before makeup.

Oh, were you even looking above her neckline the night before, Mr. Sensitive Lover? As for the world, well I guess many small mammals will be spared the torture of cosmetic testing. And women will have a bigger budget for shoes.

For the same reason men shave, shower, cut their hair, pluck their brows, trim their nails and iron their shirts..We're not hiding, we're putting our best foot forward. If you're suprised when she washes her make up off in the morning, you need to lock your door so that strange women who wear too much make up can't sneak into your house and crawl into your bed when your'e asleep. Girls who don't wear make up are easy to spot, ask them out or unlock the door for them yourself.
