Do you know how big a breadbox is? Do you even know WHAT a breadbox is?

I say most of you know; my sister says you don't. I'm sure I'm right!

I'm 26. Am I getting this question right, or is there a hidden meaning?

Is it a box to keep bread fresh in. It's big enough for a loaf and a few rolls.

I don't own one though. House prices are so high, someone my age has to live in a shoe box, so I've no room. I take out 2 slices at a time from my minue freezer!

Breadboxes are most commonly big enough to fit one or two average size loaves of bread — about 12 inches wide by 6 inches high and deep (30 cm x 15 cm x 15 cm).

A bread box is a container for storing bread and other baked goods to keep them fresh, that has a retractable cover.

bread boxes are great, I wish I had counter space in my kitchen for one, the best ones are made of wood, but for my kitchen the best would be a good stainless steel roll up lid with black handles.. and a breadbox and the cliche big as a breadbox is approximately slightly larger than a loaf of bread.

This question is, um, rather unusual - even for this website. Um, a breadbox is a wooden box that sits on the kitchen counter where you keep loaves of bread in. I am assuming they come in different sizes (I don't have one because I keep my bread in the freezer where it can stay fresher longer) but I would say that most are the size of a few loaves of bread.

A bread box? Like the wooden box that I have on my counter that has a lid on it that says "breadbox" that I put my bread in to help keep it cool and dry? I live in Hawaii... bread molds so quick if it is left out but my bread box keeps it nice and fluffy brown... not green. I think that is what your talking about.

a bread box is used for putting bread in it is about 3 times the size of a loaf of bread. and the ones I've seen are usually made of wood. They aren't common nowadays but I would like to have one. I think they may even be considered antique by now.Oh yeah I'm 26.

Isn't it a container (plastic, for instance) to keep bread fresh in? I'm pretty sure we used to have one when I was twelve or so (I'm twenty-one now).
