I have an older sister, and i dislike her more than i like her. I mean, i don't like the way she acts the way she behaves, she's always looking at me , and i don't like to be myself around her because she's always criticizing me. And i try to be unique and different and she just doesn't get it . I find an interest , it becomes a hobby for her and i don't want to d oit anymore. I shave my hair off, and she shaves hers off too claiming that she's always wanted to do it. She has a cruel sense of humor, and it's like she's jealous of me , but i don't really know. And idon't want to say to her face , you're jealous of me or whatever. She always wants to be in control of everything. She's always doing the baking and i'm stuck cutting the watermelon. And there's just a whole bunch of things, like i don't feel i can trust her and i don't want to look her in the eye because i'm afraid she knows i don't like her and something bad going to happen to me. I want to get to know her, i try 2 like her

what is your question? its called sibling rivalry and happens everyday and everytime there is more than one child. be yourself and to hec with her. the things she does can only annoy you if you allow her to have that kind of power of you, its something she can't take you have to give it, so just don't do that. her issues are hers and you will both grow up and things will be completely different. in the meantime, be yourself and if she copies you so what? immitation is the sincerest form of flattery, haven't you ever heard that? you are younger and probably got more attention, not to mention that she was the big news until you came along and stole her thunder, she'll get over it eventually. by the way, shaving off your hair is rarely a good idea!

She's probably jealous but just for the sake of it, maybe one day the two of you can sit down and talk about the things that bother you and maybe get it resolved. Having a sister is the best thing in the world and maybe if you just get honest with her one day and say... "what the ****, why are you acting this way". She may not realize that she is bothering you and decide to change and both of you can live happily ever after.

Sibling rivalry is not an uncommon thing, however, one of you guys would have to step up to end the trend and not continue in the hurtful competition.
If this does not work then i think the best thing to do is sit her down and let her know everything that bothers you. I call that the "brutally honest conversation". Dont hold anything back just say it all.
She may be really hurt and angry, but after she realizes the intention behind the outburst then maybe she would change.
Good luck.

It sounds like she is trying to get close to you (by doing the same things you do) but it isn't working. I think you need to step back and let go of your dislike of her for just a minute. Stop pushing her away and try to be friends. She is you sister, after all. Maybe if you two get closer, you will be able to influence some of the things you don't like about her, but most of all you have to remember that she is your sister and deep down, you love her whether you like her or not.

Well I'm one of three girls on my mothers side and I see where your coming from. here is my suggestion, You should always be yourself no matter what, even if you don't want to. N-E ways first off write her a letter explaining how you feel she might consider it as you sucking up but you should consider it as being the bigger person. tell her what you like about her and what you honestly can't stand. i wish I could say more but i have to go. GOOD LUCK!!!!!!!
