Why is so much TV total garbage?

Seriously, if you look at most television shows these days, it's a total failure to entertain, inspire, or encapture the viewer. I'm no religious extremist, but the profanity and sexuality on TV is appalling, and making the real world worse.

I've heard Lost and 24 are good - any ideas on how to beat the common garbage and find something actually worth watching?

yeah, tv these days sucks. i think i could make a show better than half the ones on there, at least one i'm sure. i try to watch rerun series that intrest me, movies,educational shows,diy and cooking shows.....whatever you do though, stay clear of reality tv. those people are worse than prostitutes.

Because nobody has an original idea. They take one idea and beat it to death. You see this on television, see in the movies and hear it on radio. It all has been done before!

That's why there's so much crap on TV.

actually zero g is not freefall,, at 27000 miles up things dont fall back to earth, its geo sync,, but you are right about the freefall like the space shuttle,, its because they are not high enough,,best regards arthur
