Does anyone know what the lyrics to the Flyleaf song "Cassie" is about? What is the real message of the song?

Is the song about the same Cassie that died during the Columbine incident? And if so, is it like a tribute to her death and all that it stood for... or is it just an ignorant song about her death? Or maybe it really has nothing to do with her at all. But the lyrics make no sense to me. Maybe I'm just over analyzing it.

This song is about Cassie Bernall, a student at Columbine High School who was killed in the massacre that occurred there. Her killer asked her if she believed in God, and when she answered "Yes" he killed her with a single gunshot to the head.
