What was your first day of college like too?

Have a separate notebook for each class you take. Only write notes for that class in it. Be prepared to take notes on the first day. Have a separate folder for each subject also, for papers, test, quizzes, etc... Organization is everything in College. If you don't have it you will have many problems when finals come around.
My first day of college was typical I guess. Make sure you go very very early to find the room, a seat, and relax a bit before class. Professors hate tardiness!! Most Professors lecture the first day, in addition to going over the syllabus (not to be lost) and what you will do and need for the class. Always stay ahead in readings and assignments. Last minute problems can happen and Professors tend not to give slack. Once my printer went crazy and wouldn't print my report and I got a 50 because I had a week to complete the assignment and it was 1/2 a day late. Don't make mistakes like me.

Things to bring:

Get some asprin.
A soap holder.
A basket.
A couple towels.
ALL PLASTIC SLIPPERS.
Get some athlete's foot stuff...just in case.
Get your parents to buy a bunch of laundry tokens (if possible).
Some laundry soap.
One table setting (or two for dinner with that special someone).
Some dixie cups and utensils and paper plates.
I'm sure there are so many more things...

Things to do:
Go to class, always go to the first class

Unless you're a math major...keep the calc+ math classes to 1 per semester (2 maximum but don't max out your credit hours). Reason: Too much homework that you MUST do in order to understand the material, regardless of wether its graded or not.

Ditto with english, but only because the papers take a while (you could still do max credit hours I suppose, some weeks you'de have sooo much to write).

Don't have too much fun, there's plenty of fun and ladies/men available, but you do need to study.

Get to know a wide variety of people. Muslim, Jew, Black, White. It makes you understand more.

Electives, arts, and humanities round out your education. They give you things to talk about most people don't know, even if they studied the same things as you in school. They only seem useless until you get out of school.

Teachers assistants and professors office hours are available if you miss a class (though probably not if you miss a test...) or need help. They are way underutilized, and they can help you get an easy A.

Experience:

I had too much of a good time my first year and a half of college. My brother was already there...throwing a small drunken party for the first day school...heheh.

Then, I cleaned up my act, and instantly attracted the woman who is my wife.

Good Luck!
Have fun (but not too much)!

Just get yourself into the frame of mind to cherish every single day. I promise you, your years in college will be the BEST years of your life, and they only come once. Don't waste a single day. Don't pass up opportunities to do stuff you'll wish later that you had done.

And listen to the guy who said you should start drinking. That's actually good advice, because you will need a healthy tolerance in college.

My first day of college was great - I tried to meet as many new people as a I could. I suggest you do something similar. Your school will give you plenty of opportunities. Talk to everyone you can. Date people. Find the best friends you can find. Seriously, just live for yourself and for the moment. You will never be able to do it again.

Get lots of sleep.

If your campus has a website, look on it and study the campus map, hours buildings are open, etc., so when you're actually there you won't look like a typical lost freshman.

If you're living on campus and have a contact e-mail for your roommate, contact them, if just to introduce yourself.

Research the town around campus so you know where things are, where the best pizza place is, the closest convenience store. etc.

Relax, enjoy your last days of vacation, and try not to stress about college. It may seem imposing, but it will be the best years of your life.

Make a list of everything you want to take and go through it to weed out the unneccessary things because your dorm room probably won't hold everything. Make sure you have a cell phone; it comes in handy when you need to call long distance and is usually cheaper than the school's service. Get yourself psyched up to meet a lot of new people because you most likely will during orientation and in classes. Don't expect anything in any of your classes. Some of my college classes have been easier than high school and some are way harder. Bring a trunk or something to lock up your valuables in your room. Depending on where you go, theft is a pretty big problem on some campuses. Prepare yourself to get involved; people who are involved in things are more likely to stay because they aren't in their room thinking constantly about how much they miss home.

The first day for me was pretty easy, but a little scary at the same time to be starting classes in a place I had only been a couple times. Most college teachers do make assignments on the first day unlike high school, but some make assignments that aren't due for a couple of class periods or more. They usually go over the syllabus and things like that too on the first day. Many teachers now post assignments and syllabi on a Campusweb system that they expect you to have access to, so it is an excellent idea to take a computer and plan to have internet access in your room rather than using busy computer labs.

As far as classes, you'll definitely want to take notes on what the teacher says. Some teachers only use lectures for test material. Some people find that separate folders work best for them to keep work for classes in, but I like to keep my papers for the current set of chapters we're on in the front of my book, so they are easy to find. Then after the test I put them in my notebook. Save everything you use to prepare for your tests in a handy location because some teachers have a comprehensive final and don't give you your old tests back. Don't slack up on your reading; it will catch up with you! You may not have an assignment in anything at the moment, which means you should read ahead, because later you may have one in everything. Don't slack on easy assignments...they can help you build up points to save your bad test scores from failing you. Don't expect not to have much homework and to be able to party all the time like they show on TV. Most people who do that end up failing/quitting. Go to class. Teachers are more sympathetic to those who go to class everyday; it shows that you care. Plus you may miss notes you need for the test or your grade may be lowered for not attending a certain # of times.

Get used to doing homework. I never did homework in high school and awesome good grades. When I started university I thought I could do the same but soon realized no homework/studying=failing.

What are you doing sounds truly unnecessary. If God didn't wish you to masturbate he would've given you tiny dinosaur hands. in case you've self belief in God and each and every thing i imagine you could might want to confess that sinning is a classic area of existence and maximum christians masturbate so I see no consider holding out.
