If you are looking for a real answer to this, I'll give it a shot ...

I won't call her a harpy and certainly not a heroine. I think Ann Coulter is an opportunist. I think she makes comments to cater to certain people and she makes them extreme enough so that the liberal media will be disgusted enough to put her in the spotlight. Which helps her sell more books, gives her more airtime, etc. Which is certainly her prerogative (a single girl's got to support herself) ... but doesn't get her any respect from people like me.

I respect anyone with a point of view that is intelligent and well argued. I'm not saying Ann Coulter isn't smart. Obviously, she's well educated and successful in her chosen profession. But don't fool yourself into thinking that Ann Coulter's agenda is anything other than .... Ann Coulter. She exploits certain angles to rile people up. She does a good job at it. But let's be honest here ... if the 9/11 widows had made statements saying that the Bush Administration had done a great job with the investigation and thanked the Administration for their hard work in capturing the terrorists that murdered their husbands, Ann Coulter would have no problem with them. She would be making media appearances with them in tow.

We should have a Ann Coulter book drive, collect and shred, then donate the recycled books to Time for publishing!

the priority with Ann is that she isn't the perfect talker. Her concepts in her books are properly worked and researched. they're sparkling and to the point. even as she talks in public she has a habbit of spewing her outfitted up hate of liberals. Cant fault her for it yet makes it complicated to understand the way acceptable she is many of the time.

she speaks her mind, is not afraid of what anyone tells her or whether what she says is politically correct. I have a lot of respect for her. Plus she's intelligent and has a sharp sense of humor.
