More people move in summer so more is plentiful. Pickings are slimmer in winter, but sometimes you can find a good deal. I look at bankruptcies. You can usually find a good home for a good deal at someone elses expense and be sure to bid low but bid first. I got a $90,000 home 15 years ago for $45,000.

In the winter...people don't have a lot of money usually so they are willing to sell there house at a good price just to get rid of it, not to mention it is Christmas time...

Winter - less people move so you don't have as much competition meaning that you are more likely to have your offer accepted.
