Depends where in the world you live. Lethal force against intruders is illegal in some countries, and in some states of the USA.
Personally, if someone broke into my house, I would use all means, up to and including lethal force, to stop them.

yeah, I could and I would. Is also a matter of self defense and defense of my kids. I'd do what I had to for protection, even deal a lethal blow. Doesn't mean I'd like doing it.. but I would if absolutely necessary.

it comes down to necessary force....if he is just breaking in unarmed...no u cannot deal him a lethal blow..u can do what is necessary to stop and detain him but u cannot kill him. if he is armed and u are indeed in fear of your life you can protect yourself by means that meet his....IE if he has a knife you cannot get a gun, but a baseball bat you can. however this answer is null in void if you are in the states, i believe you can deal the lethal blow there. I'm in Canada where the criminal has a few more rights

you could if you like but the law says you could be sued or imprisoned regardless. There are many stories like this. They actually win damages for this kind of thing. IN YOUR HOUSE!!! Go figure. Gotta love America. Equal opportunity.

I think unless he was putting my children's welfare at harm, no..if he was just stealing, then I suppose I would just let it be. Taking someone's life for material items isn't a trade off and something you would have to live with forever.
However, if someone threatened my children or tried to harm me, then in that defense I could!

Theoretically yes but there are lots of factors to e considered ..you have to be in threat for your life and he must carry and threaten you with a deadly weapon ..and having a few witnesses that can back your story wont hurt either

YES!
If by night the old Levitical Law said he could be killed. (not murder!)
If by day, he is to be held for interrogation and release or possibly flogging or stoning.
I don't believe we should or have to keep the old laws in this day and age..but this one makes a lot of sense....as many others do.

I would. Especially with children in the house, I dont know what hes gonna do, or what he has planned. THere are lots of crazies. So, given the opportunity, I would.
