I hear ya. I have had really bad cramps too. They used to get so bad I would have to lay in bed and try to sleep. First off, yes exercises does help. Taking a daily vitamin helps also. Stay away from cokes, chocolate..anything with caffeine. Also. DO NOT take ADVIL. That is a blood thinner and can cause you to flood. The best pain meds I have found were Midol Gel Caps (work better than the others) and believe it or not the Dollar General PMS medicine helps better than anything I have found. When you can, apply a warm towel..or heating pad to where its hurting. That helps A LOT. I hope I have helped you in some way, and good luck!!!

Have your mom help you find a painkiller like ibuprophen (Advil) or Aleve. Take the dosage as listed with food. If you seem to "always" have cramps, take the pills each morning starting the first day of your period. Also, drink lots of water. Doctors will often tell you to avoid chocolate and caffiene, but I never had to the willpower to do so, especially when I was in school.
If that doesn't help, see your doctor. If you're in high school, it's probably about time to see a gynecologist.

See your doctor. I had cramps like that too and I tried every kind of pain pill I could. I dreaded that time, I was always be sent home from school because I would have them so bad I would vomit. It could be from a hormone embalance. the doctor put me on birth control and my periods are normal. no cramps no discomfort nothing.
I don't like to recommend anything as far as meds I think you should see your doctor.
Have you tried things like pamperine or motrin . They are supposed to be good for that although they did not help me, but everyone is different.

They aren't menstual cramps they are contractions and pressure. You should go to the hospital if you are having them every 10min. Good Luck. Congratulations!

Moving and exersing does help, but if you're in serious pain you might want to ask your doctor to put you on some kind of birth control. Birth control can be used to lessen menstrual pain as well as lighten your periods so you're in less pain. I know your mom will have a cow about it, but have her go to the doctor with you so they can explain it to her.

Don't let anyone especially men tell you to live with it! I remember the days I could barely move! Go to a female Gynecologist! For now I'd try up to Motrin 800mg.
