A pinch runner is allowed to complete the home run. It's in the rules.

I definitely agree with the umpire if you don't get around the bases unassisted you are called out, no matter what inning or how many outs or the score. A pinch runner can only be inserted once the ball is termed "dead", and it is still in play until the batter reaches home after hitting a home run.

They'll have a pinch runner go around for him.
What a dummy! Doesn't he know he has all the time in the world to get around the bases? Where's the fire, what's the rush?
Numbskull.
If this happened to you . . . sorry. No offense. ; )

I think it depends on being there, being an ump, and how you would handle it. I think that play can be stopped and a pinch runner can be put in during a situation like that, but I'm not sure.

His agent shows him his contract and he crawls around the bases. It's a walk-off homer anyway, so he's got time.
