I am paying 170.00 a month for basic cable and internet and am mad because I just spoke to alot of people and?

they all say I am being ripped off, I have comcast, and what I need to know is how can I get somthing else? could someone please help me?

170 for basic and internet? wow that is steep. i can get digital cable with all the premium movie channels, high speed internet , and digital phone for cheaper than that.

Does Comcast offer digital cable in a package with internet? I have digital cable and high speed internet through Time Warner Cable and I'm only paying $89.97 a month:

$39.99 each for cable and internet;
7.65 digital box fee;
.30 remote fee;
.52 sales tax;
1.60 franchise fee.

Most of the cable companies are offering packages now that lower the cost of each service if you get them together (Time Warner has a deal where you get digital cable, digital phone and RoadRunner for $39.99 each if you get any combination of those items).

If comcast is ur only provider in ur area then ur screwed unless u get Dish or DirecTV and DSL or dial up internet. They know people have to pay their rates which is why its so high

sounds to me like you are getting ripped off for sure. I have DSL and pay $12.99 a month and $55.65 for my Comcast cable. My DSL is faster than my neighbors cable connection

It depends on what market you're in, I think. That sounds like too much for most places except maybe New York, Chicago, or Los Angeles.

I have DVR, 150ish channels and hig speed and I pay 50 less than you.
