Yes, there are cosmetics for men if you go to those expensive department store. Personally, I wouldn't wear it though.

Plus, a lot of celebrities wear makeups, Dennis Rodman, Prince, Boy George, and Rupaul, to name a few.

Yes, but it can be risky; as you've seen from the answers thus far, many people are not ready to accept the idea of straight men wearing makeup (or gay men for that matter).

There are several subcultures that have been known to use makeup on both genders -- goths being the most notable example.

Outside of alternative and sexual subcultures, I would love to see more people experimenting with unusual forms of expression, makeup on guys being one such example. As mentioned above, eyeliner is in at the moment; you may also wish to experiment with foundations and subtle colours of lipstick to control your skin tone. Keep it tasteful and don't use too much of anything; be careful with products like blush, too (which are incredibly difficult to place correctly).

If a guy can handle the obvious stares, laughing, pointing, ridicule, verbal abuse and all that type of negativity, he certainly can indulge in wearing some makeup. Too bad society is so hung up on stereotypical his & hers style. People have a hard enough time being themselves and embrassing individuality without being limited to resources.

Be who you are and if it feels good do it, in this case wear it! =)

It might be looked upon by some as odd, but a guy can wear makeup any time he chooses to, just like a chick can...if that's what he's into, what's wrong with it?

Whatever you do in the privacy of your own home, Larry, in the way of experimenting with make-up... I guess it depends on your strength of character, where you'll be wearing it (so you don't get decked by Macho Gazpacho), and the look you're going for. A little well-matched concealer over uneven skin patches, reddened area or birthmark could work, but match it to the color of the skin on your neck. Make-up doesn't work for David Bowie or Mick Jagger, but it works for Johnny Depp in the "Pirates of the Caribbean" movies...

Seriously, though, Larry, I think subtly should be the rule here.

You wanna walk a lonely road,
the only one you have ever known,
you walk down a lonely street,
On the bulleward of broken dreams.

i guess that sums it up. Guys rarely wear it, and you might end up ruining your mascara if other people's jibes make you cry. What were you planning to do by the way?

Correctly applied eyeliner and some tinted lipbalm or lip gloss can be extremely sexy on a man. Make-up has nothing to do with sexual preference BUT you may attract negative attention from people who believe it does. I had a boyfriend who tried eyeliner but he didn't know how to put it on...I can honestly say that if he had put it on right it would have been H-O-T!!!

All male actors straight or not have to have camera make up on to make their skin appear flawless (to look as if they have no make up). I think it's okay if your acting in a play or tv/movies but I can't think of any other reason why a guy would want to? Maybe gothic guys but that's about it lol.
