One cc is exactly one ml - that is the beauty of the metric system!

Here's the logic:

cc = cubic centimeter
ml = milli liter (one thousandth of a liter)
1 liter = 10 x 10 x 10 cm
1 cubic meter of water = 1 metric tonne (1 million grams or 1000 kg)
therefore 1 cc of water = 1 ml = 1 gram

Try that with inches and gallons and pounds!

a cc and a ml are actually the same - so 5 ml is the same as 5 cc. So that means that one ml is equal to 1 cc. Cool huh?
