that depends on your perception .
you could be insane or outsane .
like if you were the crazy one ,I would be insane
meaning i have the sanity and you would be outsane
being outside of sanity
but to you i would be outsane
because you feel as if you are in
and i am out to you
or maybe we could both be out of it .

I work in a nursing home. There is a high percentage of Alzheimer's (a disease) and schizophenics and bi-polar (forms of mental illness) one way to tell them apart is to ask if they need help. Someone with Alzheimer's know they are confused and will say they do ned help. Someone who has had mood swings or heard voices their whole life thinks it's normal and will say they are ok. So I believe they do not know they have a problem when they are insane. Insanity is a legal term, not a medical term, by the way.

That's exactly what insanity is and why you're considered insane. You can't distinguish between right and wrong, what's reality and what's hallucination or perceived reality.

Wow , what a question . After spending some time dealing with people who suffer from mental illness, no they are not aware that there thinking is off , or out of the norm . they think and feel everything is just fine most of the time. unless they are bipolar , or are suffering from manic depression.

if youre going insane....you dont know it....you live in your "own little world" then.....you wont know youre insane you just think everything is ok....I think thats kind of a scary idea isnt it
