I obviously am not too computer literate but need to know where to go to remove my full name. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Please take me step by step. Thank guys!!!!

Yes it is possible for someone to know your name through messenger. To remove it, open yahoo messenger window, go to Messenger menu and click on my contact details. There you are, just blank out the fields of name or put a bogus name in there and you are done!!! Bye...

he can find your name from your profile
or u give them your name on your contact details
send an IM to your self
go to actions menu
select contact options
and select contact details and chek there
i think your full name is there
change it if u don't wanaa some one know your name when u r chating

usually if you make your name available on your profile page, all they have to do is click on your profile you should click on it and edit your name.
