it depends upon many things... age, expectations, what was talked about during the asking out.
Often it is dinner or a movie or an activity like a boat ride or a walk in the park. some people like to dance.
Typically there is no kissing on the first date, but perhaps to say goodbye. only do what you are comfortable doing. I doubt proper dating etiquitte is much different in the USA that it is in the rest of the world except that without a chapparone, the people on the date need to take responsibility for themselves, their own actions, and their safety.

I usually go someplace casual for the first few dates and just get to know the other person better such as going to the park, a concert, or a museum because there are plenty of things to talk about in those places. Other than that I go to restaurants.

sleep from 5 to 12
go to the beach from 2 to 7
one final dinner and then

It really depends on the taste of the person and what they enjoy doing. You can go to the movies, dine out, go clubbing, or just rent movies and relax back home... there's always something to do...
