Life is like a box of chocolates, you never know what you are going to get. Live life to the fullest and do the best you can with what you got.

Well those could be the same. What I've learned from observing a lot around me, is that being beautiful or rich won't really make you a happier person. I realized that there are plenty of people, who've been given less than me, who are happier than me - and that just makes me feel like an ungrateful spoiled whiny bi*ch. So I've made up my mind to be happy - if other people can be happy and thankful with less, I should be ecstatic and thankful every day for what I have. Happiness is all about perspective - if you always focus on the negative (and in everyone's lives, there will always be something negative) then you'll never be happy. Look in the mirror and repeat this to yourself five times - "I am not going to feel sorry for myself all the time like a whiny little spoiled brat!"

I think both. The other day I was driving and my fuel line broke. I had to walk about 2 miles home because I could not get a hold of anyone to come get me. I got pretty upset at first and then remembered that the next day I had to go out of town and was just lucky that it did not break while I was in between towns. So I could have let that problem ruin my whole day, or look at the brighter side of things.

Life is truly what you make it. If you decide to be happy with life and love you will be happy. But if you let things get you down and upset then life can turn into a downward spiral that would make it very hard to find happiness again

Life is two-fold:
You make it as far as you can exercise control(i.e., what education you get, whom you marry, what kind of occupation, how much you weigh, etc.)
The other part is that you make the most of life---and that pertains to the things you cannot control, i.e. your health, how your mate acts, how well the company you work for does, etc. So in essence, both statements are true and applicable.`

Life is what you make it. It's all up to us, how we will look at things. We can look at all things negative, or we can look at all things positive and learn from them, and just get better.
