The UN, and the League of Nations their predecessor says they do. It is a "right of return" situation, and it wasn't that they were trying to usurp the rights of others in that area, but when the Arabs of the area said that they wouldn't recognize Israel, and wouldn't rest until all the Jews were pushed into the sea, I believe that is what fuelled the fire today. The Jews brought jobs, prosperity and infrastructure to an area that didn't have those things previously, and they were asking to live in peace along side of their Arab neighbours. Arafat and his cronies that made up the Fatah movement were given several chances to have a peaceful co-existence along side Israel and turned it down, and Hamas continues to refuse to accept this possibility. I can't remember which Russian author said this, but it went something like this "People get the Government that they deserve". And the Palestinians will continue to suffer as long as they allow themselves to be ruled by criminals and terrorists.

Every racial group should have the right to it's own country. However, Israel is too large. The israelis have claimed this huge desert region south of the 31st parallel that they do not live in, nor was it part of the original kingdom of Israel. That area should go back to Jordan and Egypt.

It's because Israel was created artificially, at a time when Jews were already spread all around the world. Some wouldn't go there because they have a life somewhere else, they don't bond, maybe, to a piece of land which already has one too many conflicts.

it may not seem right but it is life, they had to go somewhere and new york is where most of them ended up living. It does not bother me at all where jews live but it is the same with other ethnic background, theres alot fo african americans and they complain about having been slaves and how they were abused, but yet they refuse to return back to their country!

Do you even realize how small Israel is? It's smaller than nearly all of our states.

Huge desert region south of the 31st parallel? That's like saying Rhode Island has a huge coastal region.

The question is compelling but your reasoning behind it is a little baffling.
It would be far more interesting to ask the question from a religious/philisophical angle, because your eschatology would have an impact on how you would answer it.

it comes down to this - do we humans have to right to say this world is our, cuase when a large group of poeple say that this land is theres that isnt right, if nature wnats the land back, she will, katrina anyone.
we are all human, we should stop this petty border crap, have u been to space, i havent, but i know u cant see national boundries up there, or the petty differences in us that we seperate our selve becuase of. think about it
