can i use my yahoo email to send a message to someone with a hotmail address? a few times it failed but when i sent it by msn it went through ok . anyone knows why ? thx

yes why not
u can send email from yahoo mail to any other mail servers
these are diffrent mail servers and sending mail to other mail servers are their job
but some put pther mail server mails to their junk folders

No idea, Hotmail should not be blocking Yahoo. I've sent emails back and forth just fine.

The recipient may have been receiving a lot of spam and has mistakenly blocked all email from the "yahoo.com" domain.
Send them a message from your hotmail account (since that one works) and ask them to add your "yahoo.com" email address to their address book and safe list

that just seems wierd. as far as i know, anyone can send from yahoo to pretty much anything else.
