i liked things like wallace and gromit, spyro was a fav!, sccoby doo, animaniacs, madagascar???? sorry im so sad!!! i just love these type of games? anyone tried over the hedge yet? if so is it worth buying?

I recommend Sonic Mega Collection Plus. This game has all the original megadrive / master system sonic games plus extra games as well.
More platformers I also recommend that you might like:
Jak and Daxter
Ratchet and Clank 1, 2 and 3
Kingdom Hearts
Pacman World 3

Kingdom Hearts and Kingdom Hearts 2, that is if you like disney games. It also has some final fantasy in it. Wich are good games too, check em out.

I loved Spyro!!! I played all spryo games :-) Crash Bandicoot is a great game to play and there's loads of them out :-)
