I have been for hot checks, for three nights, thought I was going to miss Christmas with my family, and learned my lesson.

You're gonna have a "hard time" (excuse the pun)- finding anyone who's really willing to admit if they've been in jail or prison before, and esp. for what they were locked up for! Most people who've been in that kind of messed-up situation aren't exactly "proud" of it and don't want the "world to know", since "the world" can be such an "unforgiving place", and since they've already paid their debt to society, who would want for their past to continue to be "held against them"? And that's how it is, in this world....
I spent 3 days in county jail a few years back, for possession of a controlled substance (first and only offense on my record).
I hope you use this information for "something good", instead of the opposite scenario.

Oh My God! It's NOTHING to any other Jail, it's filthy, nasty and horrible. I see it in our Arabic movies all the time. I've never seen worse than ours to tell ya the truth! :S
