Explain the Palestine Israeli conflict to me.?

I want to understand why they are in a civil war i know its because of a stretch of land that they both want.

Palestinians lived in Palestine (Felasteen) for thousands of years.
After WW2 the Jews wanted to live there. They didnt want to live in Europe any more and also said that God had given Palestine to them at some point in Ancient history (who are the fundamentalists here?).

Enter the British after WW2 who took Palestine by force and decided to hand it over to the Jews. At the time they said 'A land without a people for a people without a land'

The only problem with that statement was that actually it was a land with people. This did not deter the Jews who thought of a great scheme to slaughter the Palestinians, this they did with horrific efficiency, one village at a time, and Jewish settlers moved in.

Many Palestinians fled with their lives and left all they owned, their land and houses, now living in terrible conditions in refugee camps in Jordan, Lebanon, Syria and all over the world. Those that stayed were confined to a life of brutal oppression on the strip of land they had left.

Many have chosen to continue working to get back their homeland. They are the ones the media calls terrorists. Funny world isn't it?

I don't know all the ins and outs but basically both the jews and the muslims believe the land of Isreal / Palestine was given to them by god. the jewish race was not in possesssion of the land of Israel for centuries, the palestinians were there, (they both claim 'god gave us this land'). After the 2nd world war there was a large political movement -'zionism' to regain the jews their land, because of the holocaust and the dreadful things that happened to them, they got a lot of sympathy. Well, due to good old western imperialism and the collapse of the ottoman empire a lot of middle eastern land was 'up for grabs' - the indigenous people not really having a say in what happened to their land, it was 'given' to the jews to create the modern state of israel. The muslim palestinians were a bit pissed off at this, understandably, and were given a small amount of land but the Israelis have unfortunatly invaded and occupied much of this land since, as they believe 'god gave us this land'. The muslims believe that god gave them the land. Violence and bloodshed have resulted, and it doesn't look like it's going to end any time soon either. I may have got some of the detail wrong but that is what I understand the issue to be.

The Palestinian Israel conflict is truly a religious conflict. This began when God promised the land Abraham was dwelling in to someday be his land and his children's land to many generations. There were other peoples dwelling in the land as well. They did not worship the God who intelligently designed everything. They instead worshiped idols (statues). See book of Genesis and Numbers in Bible. There are many more details. However, basically the Jewish people who worship the same God as Christians (we've incorporated their holy scriptures into the Bible and we've added the new testament, because we believe the Messiah was Jesus) conquered the land thousands of years ago and Israel was made a state in 1948. Though one of the tiniest places on the map, it is still the hotpoint of history and current events and will be even in the end times when Jesus returns. Now you can see why Palestinians who are Muslims and worship a different god than the the Jews and Christians (who both worship the God of Abraham and Jacob) would want to jet bomb America in 2001, as we are a nation formed on Judeo-Christian beliefs. Even are laws are based on the ten commandments (thou shall not murder etc) of the Jewish and Christian faiths. The Christian New Testament part of the bible says that we should "pray for the peace of Jerusalem (in Israel)", and those who do will be blessed.

In The first years of 20th century,there were a very small number of Jewish in Palestine,which was under control of Turkish.After 1st w.w The English army protected a very large amount of Jewish immigrants to Israel.Before The2 ND ww finished,European countries decided to get rid of Jewish,taking Holocaust as false cause,to make a country to them on the lands of the Palestinians.Feeling oppressed ,the Arabs rejected the decision of UN to divide Palestine into 2 countries ,Palestine and Israel.Then war 67 happend by Israeli army and took more lands from Egypt,Syria ,and West Bank.Till now ,Israel is insulting Palestinians ,taking their lands,homes,gardens even their tombs by military force.The conscience of the World have died completely.
