i know putting magnets near computers are bad and cellphones can be thought of as mini-computers....i actually have a carrying case which closes with magnets(some use velcro for example); and so it's in near proximitiy to my phone.

If you put a magnet near your cell phone it can short out the phone or frie your mic and spekers of total your phon 100% just dont do it that is the smartest thing to do

A magnet will NOT harm your cellphone.
It won't hurt your computer either.
It can erase floppy disks. It cannot hurt a hard drive, CD or DVD.
It can mess up a CRT monitor, at least temporarily. It cannot hurt a TFT monitor.

Yes! Definately! And don't EVER - NEVER ever - put a magnet to your other ear when you're talking on a cell phone. Not fun!

call the phone place where you got your phone and ask them because i wouldn't take advice from people on the computer because what if they are being mean or somthing (but you can listen to me cause im not weird like that ) good luck
