A "mass" on your kidney is any unusual growth of cells attached to your kidney.

It could be a cyst:

Or an abscess:

Or a tumor (which could be benign or malignant).

Kiney stones do not show up on any test as a mass. as they are clearly in the renal tubules or the ureter. A mass is anything that can not be explained and they will need to remove it. Could be a wilms tumor (usually children) which is cancer or another type of cancer. it may also be benign. have it removed or at least biopsied right away. renal masses tend to progress quickly, cancerous or not.

it means that a large "mass" was found one kidney after an ultrasound and a CT scan was performed, are you stupid?

It means there is a growth there. It could be malignant (cancer) or benign (just a bunch of cells gone nuts... probably will need to be removed, but not life threatening)
