I'm sure the best there is, that would be able to meet your interest for sure is the Apple's ibook or MacBook, if you are willing to play only light games. It has all the things you need including DVD-RW drive and bigger hard drive and better processor speed. It also includes the most number of ports like firewire, usb and all the connectivities like bluetooth, irda etc. Most of all it is totally virus free and has the MacOS X with it that makes it most secure and exclusivly fast platform to work in. You'll be able to know about it more in the apple's official site at apple.com. Try it, it is really impressive.

For laptops, go with toshiba. They are well built and have great tech support. I have had mine 4-5 years and it works great and toshiba has fixed every problem that has come my way. Don't buy dell, cheep parts+cheap computer = computer that doesn't last long
