be straight up about it, but do it in private so that you are paying each other attention, also if rejection comes about act normal even though you are gutted, then deal with it when you are alone or with someone else you can talk to. and remember its him losing out because there is always someone else for you.

well i am a guy but i do this to girls all the time i ask her out to a movie and buy her a snack like popcorn and a rdink and maybe even like asome sour worms if shes really hot, but since ur the female (no offense) i think if u go 2 shcoll with him ask him if he wants 2 eat lunch with u
