Should I get a turtle or a lizard?

I have multiple of both and I'd have to say I prefer lizards (though I love them all!). They are more tolerant of handling, and they aren't NEARLY as messy. Either one is a good choice though.. As long as you are prepared to care for it :)

P.S. in response to above: lol, Turtles do too bite!! not all but I've got one that is positively psycho

Well, a turtle is a cute little thing that wont ever bite unless it's a snapping turtle. A lizard is a wild wierd thing that will be all freaked out for a while to ever...

I like lizards. Get a turtle.

First ask yourself am i old enought to care for this pet and keep it healthy and waste my tv time,computer time and so own will(if have)kids hurt or kill this pet in anyway should i get it
if you awnsered no its a better chance not to get one and start with a robo dog,or a fish if yes go on what are the responsiblities you now have i your still in school you have to make sure you feed it,and clean its tank before school,after school and feed him the right ammount of food what should the temputour be set at what type of watter do i need,warm cold ,saltwater,freshwater
warm freshwater,coldfreshwater remember these pets are living people to do i have room for the pet is the cage big enough should i add twigs,rocks,water (for turtle)tunnels mini trees,sand(for lizards) you also have to pick up there poop every 2 days(for turtles) 4 for (lizards)but lizards poop is bigger and by my instinct smellyer what type of food does it need special kind for a special diet(or)watever i feel like giving it learn what you must have both are cool pets and fun to watch grow dont ask people what pet you should get they each have diffrent oppinions get what you want if u cant decide u like them both put two names in a hat shake it cloes your eyes mix it and pick one name there you have a new pet

what does your heart tell you? Do you have a sheltered heart that doesn't need much attention, or do you have a wild heart that likes to play and recieve a ton of attention. Turtles just need water and food, lizards (iguanas for example) need teh constant attention from us humans, to learn, get tame and recieve love. i would suggest a lizard. but then again, i own a snake.

Turtles are way cool and they can live a long time. I have a water turtle and it is not too hard to take care of him.
