Any idea where I can get lists of independent film producers; directors; casting agents; lists of upcoming projects etc?

If you're in San Francisco go to the Zaentz building in Berkley/Oakland or send Copolla your pic and resume at Zoethrope. Hit the TV stations and the ad agencies.

Short of that, there's not much coverage of San Francisco.

You might want to start a coverage paper and make money and get info. If you start a magazine or tip sheet you can get inside information and get known!

Most of the coverage is Los Angeles, New York or London.

Sign up with SF Casting. They do lots of indies, plus they have a listing of auditions on their site.

Check Callboard magazine.

My sister's boy says he's an actor and he trained too. You sound just about as idle as he is. Fancy asking Y. Why don't you ask the next person you meet in the street? If my Nigel says he wants to be an actor, I'll hit him.

If you want to be in lots of movies to build up your resume I would suggest going to SFSU and looking around for film students who are putting together student films. You never know who you will meet who will one day make a kick-butt indie.

It takes time.
