this message appears whenever my friend tries to download new display drivers for his graphics card can anyone give me an idea on how to fix it

try using the display drivers that came with the software bundle,to eliminate a dodgy download,but i think you have a faulty card to be honest as this error sounds like a error to do with a internal command on the gpu(graphics processing unit)
go into the advanced setting in the catylyst control center and click on vpu recover,and make sure the box is ticked to send a error report to ati in the event of a display error
this will send a detailed report to ati ,and if your card has to be returned to them they will have a log of the report to use as a diagnostic
zero display error is a run of commands in graphic processing were the commands have been halted by a bug in some code
best tip-return card to vendor

I have the same issue contacted ATI and they said not to pay attention to it
