Photosynthesis is a very important part of everything around us. I realize that I sound like a dork but that's ok. After a person grows up, they don't really care what kids think about their personality. Now onto photosynthesis. There are 2 stages to photosynthesis. We often forget about the dark stage where plants use nitrogen to replenish their nutritional needs. I think it's fascinating that light can be turned into a sort of "life" or energy.

I totally agree. Photosynthesis is definitely one of life's all time great tricks. Powering life by using wireless nuclear power is very cool indeed.
Are we made of sunlight? No but we are powered by sunlight.
We are made of stardust though. Every element heavier hydrogen was originally made in a star that later blew up and scattered its dust through the Galaxy. The Earth and every thing in it is condensed stardust ... including us. That is a pretty amazing thought no?

Did you know it is actually remotely possible for humans to be able to do the same thing. I followed a line of thought with my science teacher back in high school. In theory, you would be able to produce a chemical that is produced when you sleep. I forget how it would be accomplished, and it's not as advanced as what plants do (as in we would still need to consume food to live) BUT you wouldn't need to sleep... you'd just need some sunlight and you're good to go.
Personally, I enjoy sleep... don't know that I'd be first in line for that procedure.
Like I said... it doesn't actually exist... but it could.

Yes you are right! It is really cool, I remember the first time I found out how miraculous life is and how so many things could go wrong and end it, but usually never does! Life is so precious, so exact, one seemingly insignificant change and 'poof' it ends. Keep these things in mind as you start to get distracted with other less important stuff in life. :)

yeah its great, but when you learn the details of the Calvin cycle, chemiosmosis and the electron transport chain you will release just how frightfully dull it can be.
