It says "US Treasury MInt "on both sides, no other markings. Is this worth anything, or even really gold?

It sounds like a medal that they placed in mint sets not worth anything, not gold.

take it to a coin shop, or get a coin book, or look it up on the internet to find out what it is. It could be worth something.

Well I would need to know what country it is from. I don't think it will be worth anything because all countries money system has some type characteristics about its self.
