as a college math student can i have any ideas as to where i can land on a part-time using my skills to help others? Thanks.

Tutor kids, it's not that hard and makes good pay.

It's too late this year but if you have two more years of college, next year you can apply for an REU (research experience for undergraduates). These are 2 month (approx) long research programs at universities around the nation. For the most part they will give you room and board and about 2-4k for the 2 months. It may not pay as well as a regular summer job, but they can be a lot more interesting and you can meet new people in a new part of the country (They are only available for US students).

check in on them, and try and get apps in by Dec or Jan. The sooner the better.

Where do you live and what technical interests do you have ? Typically companies arent looking for pure math types, so having an applied side to your education will be very important down the road (i.e. education, a specific engineering discipline, physics, energy, economics, markets, logistics, genetics, nanotech, IT systems, etc, etc)
