We are not doing everything we can to prevent war. In fact we are encouraging it. If we were to focus all our money on defense, bring our troops back to guard our borders we wouldnt have to worry about what goes on beyond our borders. The USA is the most hated country in all the world? Although I LOVE AMERICA and will fight to the death for it money talks and our current president is a money whoremonger

You Americans should stop complaining about war.

You are the richest and most generous, most powerful culture in the history of the world. You guys are the reason we have the Internet and most cures for diseases. No UN without you and no hope against nuclear holocaust without your liberal media and idealistic population.

But if you don't take responsibility for leading the world, you will give it over to people by far morally inferior.

Someone has to be the biggest and the baddest. Speaking as a foreigner, I say better you than anyone else!

Your current leadership is far from ideal, but at least they will be gone soon. And even scarier to consider, they are still better stewards of your interests than 90% of other nations' leaders.

Every now and again, you will have to enforce American interests, which are ultimately better for planet earth than, say, Chinese, Pakistani, Russian or Liberian ones.

Which means the occasional war.

As long as your army is all volunteer, everything is good.

I don't think this country is doing anything to prevent a war, but doing all it can to make this Iraqi war continue, as well as starting other wars.

We have a war, so to say, going on right now, in the south with the damage from Katrina. There is more funding going to Iraqi war, bombing and rebuilding, than what is being given to our own people. The citizens from the USA are more involved in rebuilding that area than what funds are given to those who really need it. This is a terrible note for our own government to think of another country, and less of our own people.
